Recently, Signaturgruppen participated in an event together with a group of computer technician students from Mercantec school in Viborg.
As a computer technician, part of completing the education involves undergoing an internship, and at Mercantec, they are keen to reach out to IT-related companies to get the school's students into internships.
"We really want Danish companies to see the opportunities with interns in the computer technician education. It's difficult to secure internships, and the management in the different companies just needs to know how talented our young people are," says business and apprenticeship consultant Michael Kabel Pedersen from Technology & Energy at Mercantec in Viborg.
"Reach out to them. There is no reason to be skeptical about the students' skills," says Michael Kabel Pedersen.
At the event, Signaturgruppen's CEO Niels Frimodt Sørensen shared a number of experiences regarding how he, as an employer, views internship applications, and what a path through the IT industry over 25 years can look like.
"We have actually received quite a few inquiries about internships directly related to the event. Computer technicians are welcome with us, and we hope that many talented young people will enter the job market to help us develop our business," says Niels Frimodt Sørensen.
